Community Presbyterian Church wanted to develop a new logo to better reflect their mission of being hope in the world. This logo uses shades of green to represent the colors of sky, water and earth. A cross is formed by four curved arcs that are sections of the letter “C.” The overlapping arcs represent a coming together as a community and give off light and hope. The colors simulate the colors of a stained glass window. The overlapping shapes also contain a gothic window shape and also symbolize the communion cup. This logo is fresh, dynamic, upbeat and hopeful. The arcs can be viewed as coming together but also reaching outward. The type and formal organization show a grounding in tradition with a fresh take. It’s personality is approachable, compassionate, transparent and refreshing with a modern bent.
